Decorative Box

Hello!

My mom asked me to decorate a small gift box.  I covered the lid with some plain white computer paper before decorating.  I used some kraft card stock as my base then added some pink and finished with white on top.  A little sponging, stitching and embellishments completed this cute little gift box!!  Fun and easy project.

The sweet lady receiving this gift is battling breast cancer.  Her cancer was detected during a routine mammogram.  Please don't forget to do self exams and follow up with a yearly screening.  Early detection is so important!

Gift Box Recipe:
Stamp-Teeny Tiny Wished (SU!)
Paper-Kraft, Pink Pirouette, White, computer paper
Ink-Basic Black, Chocolate Chip
Accessories-small gift box, decorative pin, gingham ribbon, oval punches, sponging, machine stitch, dimensionals, enamel dots by MME, Mini Rolled Roses Die-Namics by MFT

Masculine Card

It is Friday....yeah!!!

Next month I will be needing a handful of masculine cards.  I always struggle with these because I just LOVE ribbons, bows and buttons!  It sure is hard to create manly cards with these items...hee hee!  Well, I did my best!  I started with this fun fishing image by Draw Me A Daydream called Fisher Fella.  This is such  a great line!  I love how the face is always hidden behind some sort of image.  Be sure and check out the many wonderful digital sets by DMAD over at McMahon Five Designs.

I had fun coloring the fish with my Copics.  I used the dotting technique (that is what I call it).  I start placing random dots with my lightest color followed by 2 to 3 more darker shades of randomly placed dots.  When I have filled in the entire image with different shades of dots I use a colorless blender Copic over the entire image to faintly mesh the colors. I then highlighted a few areas like the fin, gills and tail.  I hope you like the look!

Card Recipe:
Image/Stamp-Fisher Fella by Draw Me A Daydream
Paper-White, My Mind's Eye DP, Night of Navy, Riding Hood Red
Ink-Night of Navy, Printer Ink (black)
Accessories-Sponging, Machine Stitch, Buttons, Twine, White Ribbon, dimensionals, Copics

Thanks for looking and I hope you have a spectacular weekend!!!

Brrrr!  It is a very cold Sunday here in Minnesota!

My mom is volunteering at an elementary school and she asked to me make some bookmarks for the children she will be reading with.  I finished my first one today.

I used this absolutely adorable freebie by Whimsie Doodles called Pencil.  Isn't she sweet?!

Sweet Skater

Hi there!

Hope you are enjoying your Saturday!  Today I am posting a card using this cute vintage digital image called Sweet Skater by D' Amour Allure.  This darling digi can be found at McMahon Five Designs.  I haven't laced up a pair of ice skates in years!  I do love watching the wonderful skaters during the winter Olympics, though!

My Sweet Valentine

Hello and Happy Friday!!!

It is that time of year again to start making Valentine's Day cards. I miss making cute hand crafted valentines for my boys to bring to school to pass out to their classmates. Now that I have a sophomore in high school and one in college those days are definitely over.

Today I am posting a card that I made for the Flashback Newsletter over at www.mcmahonfivedesign.com. Many acrylic cling stamps by D' Amour Allure are 50% off while supplies last. I used this oh so sweet image called My Sweet Valentine. What a precious couple! Don't forget to hop on over to the M5D website and choose your favorites during this great sale!

I used some Christmas money that I received to treat myself to a BIG order of Die-Namics from My Favorite Things.  I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE what they add to my creations!  If you have not used them you really must try them as soon as possible!  =)

Thanks so much for looking today and enjoy your weekend!!!
